SKUD-18 Report from Newport

Maureen McKinnnon-Tucker, who is training with Mark Lewis for the Paralympics in the SKUD-18, reports on the Pre-Trials in Newport. “We set a speed record for the SKUD-18 class during one practice, clocking 12.2 knots of boat speed on the GPS in 15-18 knots of wind.”

Y-Knot at Tech Expo

Y-Knot’s exhibit of two Martin16s drew visitors at the NYS Governor’s Expo on Assistive Technology at the Empire State Plaza Convention Center on May 11. The bi-annual conference drew exhibitors, presentors and attendees from across New York State. Y-Knot members and volunteers spent the day answering questions and talking sailing with dozens of interested participants.
