[Yknot-list] Help Reeded for Regatta in Nyack May 16-18

Y-Knot has been selected as the beneficiary for a fund-raising event to be
held down on the Hudson River near the Tappan Zee Bridge. The Nyack Boat
Club hosts an annual Sonar regatta to support disabled sailing programs;
last year they raised over $3,000 for Shake-a-Leg. The Sonar Class Tappan
Zee Challenge Regatta will be held May 16 through 18, 2008.

We would like to send down sailors and volunteers to support the event, in
particular on Friday, May 16, when they are holding an adaptive sailing
clinic. We will have the opportunity to do a presentation on the Y-Knot
program, and demonstration sails with a Martin. This is contingent on being
able to organize voluteers and sailors to attend.

The Nyack group would like someone to present at the Friday May 16th Adapted
Sailing Clinic at some time between 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM.  We are  invited
for lunch at 11:30 am and the cocktail hour after the event at 5:00 pm
Friday evening.
