[Yknot-list] Martin 16 Fundraising Drive

    My organization--the Northeast Disabled Athletic Association-- is a 501 (c) 3 recognized organization dedicated to providing athletes with disabilities the opportunity to pursue competition. NDAA was generously given a Christopher Reeve Paralysis Foundation incentive grant to fully outfit a Martin 16 sailboat. The gift will provide nearly $10,000 that will allow us to buy the electronic systems--autohelm and windlass-- that allows sailors with disabilities to sail and compete in regattas with the Martin 16. At this time, there is no similarly rigged boat on Lake Champlain nor in Northern New England. 

    However, as a matching grant, NDAA, has to raise the nearly $15,000 to purchase the Martin 16 to outfit.

    That's where you come in. This is an appeal to your generosity and past support of disabled sailing. Your tax-deductible donation to NDAA will help us meet our goal. Please consider supporting us with whatever you deem appropriate. Your kind donation will go toward allowing us to purchase a new Martin 16; and, once we've reached our goal, CRPF will provide the funds for the autohelm and windlass systems.
