I. A brief discussion of the relationship of Y-Knot
and YMCA:
Our entity
is a program of the YMCA Camp Chingachgook.
II. Fiscal Report:
George discussed several relating Y-Knot's
finances. George will be meeting
with Ron Byrne supplying spreadsheets. George stated staff time per event,
including benefits, was at $125 per hour. There was a discussion on the need
to budget for maintenance costs associated with the boats, including
launching, storage and upkeep. Ron made a motion to create a Finance
Committee that will address costs and will return to the board a proposed
maintenance fee. George noted an approximate 35 percent general overhead
charge for all YMCA programs that has not been charged to Y-Knot and
will not be.
Rebecca gave an update concerning the Christopher Reeve Foundation
monies.
Rebecca agreed to contact the Foundation to see if we could use the money
differently such as purchasing other dock lifts and use BJ's electric
controls opposed to purchasing an autohelm and windlass.

Motions to approve the fiscal report,
previous minutes, and set up an
ad hoc Finance Committee were unanimously approved.
III. Rebecca led a discussion of Y-Knot's 2003
Goals:
There was a
wide range of discussion on increasing membership, how membership is structured,
the structure of clinics and the location and size of this year's Y-Knot
Regatta. There was discussion of the need to increase the number of disabled
individuals not only participating in the program but also to bring in
new
leadership for the organization itself.

Y-Knot
Board meeting to discuss their mission and goals and present them to the
Board at
the next general meeting.]
Regatta Update: 2003 Proposed Regatta Date Saturday, Oct. 11 - Monday, Oct. 13, 2003
It was determined that the Y-Knot
Regatta would be held at camp rather than
downtown Lake George because of wind, boat traffic and other constraints.
In
addition the group shall work to improve increased capacity to hold a larger
event at camp.
Camp Renovations:
Mike requested input on proposed changes to make the camp more accessible.
