Don't Bogart that tiller!

Introduction to Sailing

We know you’ve always wanted to learn to sail;
well, here’s your chance!

Our introductory program consists of three consecutive Sunday afternoon sessions, and includes both classroom instruction and on-the-water. The boats we will be using are a little more modern than Bogart’s ride — 24-foot Rainbow sloops that are stable, safe, roomy, and in general a great boat on which to learn.

What You’ll Learn:

All students will receive a basic sailing textbook, as well as additional instructional materials (8.6mb pdf). There is no certification associated with this class, it’s just a great way to pick up the basics and spend three fun days sailing on the most beautiful lake in the Northeast!

You will learn how and where you can charter your own sailboat, and learn about the many opportunities to crew for others who cruise and race on Lake George.
